Hawley: McCaskill is Partisan To The End

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Ignoring the people of Missouri, Senator McCaskill voted the liberal party line today against Gina Haspel, the first female nominee to head the CIA. For days McCaskill had refused to say how she would vote, keeping her constituents in the dark, only to again put party over Missouri in the end. In response, Attorney General Josh Hawley issued the following statement:

“After ducking questions for days, Senator Claire McCaskill came out of the shadows and proved yet again she is a hard partisan who only cares about obstructing the Trump agenda. Not only has she voted against stellar judicial nominees like Justice Neil Gorsuch, she’s willing to deny a 33-year veteran of the CIA, who has strong bipartisan support, the opportunity to become the first female Director of the agency – all because she opposes President Trump.

“Claire McCaskill again voted the way Chuck Schumer and her liberal donors wanted, and it’s clear that is who she’s answering to – not the people of Missouri. It’s time she left her luxury DC condo and got back in touch with where she claims to be from, and she will have ample opportunity come November.”
