Hawley On North Korea Meeting: Testament to President’s Diplomacy, Willingness to Shake Things Up

COLUMBIA, Mo. – In a morning radio interview with KCMO’s Pete Mundo, U.S. Senate candidate Attorney General Josh Hawley was asked about President Trump’s upcoming summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore:

“I’m looking forward to seeing the President in this historic meeting, sitting down with the North Korean leader. I think it is a real testament to this President’s diplomacy and also his willingness to shake things up. Here we’ve got someone who was been able to achieve something that no President has been able to do in the last, heck, 50 years, and I think that he set out the goals very clearly, and that is we need to proceed towards de-nuclearizing North Korea… The White House has been very, very clear about that. In fact, they have been criticized by the news media for being too clear, and too adamant about it. But that is clearly the goal here, and I look forward to any steps and progress towards that end.”
