Josh Hawley Statement on Democrat Calls for Impeachment of Justice Kavanaugh
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Following his press call this morning, Attorney General Josh Hawley issued the following statement about the Democrat Party’s calls for impeachment of Justice Kavanaugh:
“Over the weekend, Nancy Pelosi announced that the Democrat Party has no plans to accept the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh peacefully. In fact, she vowed to continue the Democrats’ fight against Justice Kavanaugh by filing even more requests for confirmation documents. This follows a letter signed by 40 Democrat Members of Congress calling for the impeachment of Justice Kavanaugh if Democrats take control of Congress.
“Make no mistake — the goal of a Democrat majority is to overturn the results of the 2016 election and roll back the results of the Trump Administration. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and their Democrat allies have made the agenda clear: open borders, a weakened military, higher taxes, government-run healthcare and the impeachment of President Trump and Justice Kavanaugh.
“The Democrat Party wants to undo everything we voted for in 2016.
“Claire McCaskill has proven herself a partisan ally and reliable supporter of Chuck Schumer and the Democrats in Congress. She votes with Chuck Schumer almost 90 percent of the time. She has been a straight party line vote on every single Supreme Court Justice. Chuck Schumer has already spent more than $15 million to boost her election, because Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi know they can’t win power in Congress without her victory in November.
“This is an unprecedented power grab by Democrats in Washington, but their path to power comes right through Missouri. Missouri can stop their radical national agenda by defeating Claire McCaskill and thwarting the Democrat takeover of Congress.”
