Senator Claire McCaskill refuses to tell the truth.
This time, she’s falsely tying Attorney General Josh Hawley to the insurance industry – when she’s the #2 recipient of their money in the entire U.S. Senate this cycle. She’s brought in more than $286,000 from the insurance industry between 2017-2018 alone.
In response, the Josh Hawley for Senate campaign released the following digital ad today:
“Senator McCaskill and her Schumer-aligned allies will say anything, even lie, to pivot away from the reality that she’s a top taker of insurance money in the Senate,” said Hawley for Senate spokeswoman Kelli Ford. “There couldn’t be a bigger contrast in this race: while Josh Hawley has been fighting big insurance, Claire McCaskill has been protecting their big-government sweetheart deals for years – Obamacare is a prime example.
“Claire McCaskill believes the current system of limited options and skyrocketing costs is the be-all end-all solution to health care today. She created the current mess, and she’s pivoting from her record in hopes that voters won’t remember her role in doing so. Missourians will see through it in November.”
