Does Senator McCaskill agree?

Following Claire McCaskill’s worst week of the campaign, liberals like Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein are pouncing on the President’s potential Supreme Court picks – simply for being faith-based, constitutional conservatives. Case in point, Judge Amy Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit:

  • Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y, on Monday slammed federal judge Amy Coney Barrett, one of the front-runners to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court, by calling her an “activist judge” who could put abortion rights and the Affordable Care Act at risk. (Washington Examiner, 7/2/18)
  • Last year Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., criticized [Barrett] for her religious views. “Dogma lives loudly within you,” Feinstein said, in reference to Barrett’s Catholic faith. (Chicago Tribune opinion, 6/29/18)

Does Claire McCaskill agree with Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein that Amy Barrett is not qualified because she’s a Catholic?

Why is she hiding on the issue of this Supreme Court vacancy?

Claire McCaskill refuses to talk. She isn’t responding to voters or press about what her criteria is for a new Justice, or Josh Hawley’s calls to debate her on the issue. But Missouri voters need to know what their Senator will base this decision on – whether she wants to share those thoughts or not.
